I wanted everyone to see it soon, but at the same time, I had mixed feelings that by the time everyone saw it, it would be after I announced my graduation. (Yokoyama Yui) Lyrics: Akimoto Yasushi / Composition: Urashima Kenta, Yamamoto Takumi / Arrangement: Yamamoto Takumi Released on September 29, 2021 AKB48 58th single "Nemoha mo Rumor" Included in Type C M-3 On Sunday, September 12th, during the encore of the AKB48 concert "MX Summer Festival AKB48 2021's Last Summer Party!" held at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall, Yokoyama Yui, who served as the second generation general manager of the AKB48 group, suddenly announced her graduation from AKB48 (graduation performance at the AKB48 Theater on December 9th). The music video for "Kimi ga Inakuru December" was planned and directed by Yokoyama Yui herself, who put her current feelings into her 12 years with AKB48. During the stay-at-home period, I joined Atsunori Toichi's online video salon and learned how to edit and make music videos. I had been directing the music video for a song called "Moon and Water Mirror" on my YouTube channel, and a staff member who knew about it asked me if I would like to direct a music video for a graduation song, so I thought, "I'd love to do that," and I took on the role of director. I wanted to try contemporary dance for the choreography, so I asked Kensuke for the first time. I've been dancing while singing with AKB48, but I've always wanted to continue expressing myself, including on stage and in plays, so in that sense, I wanted to try to make the "present and the future" coexist with what I've done so far and contemporary dance, which I've never done before. The producer Toichi did the editing this time. I checked what Toichi had edited for me. He took my thoughts into account and said, "Wouldn't it be better to include a message at the end of the music video?" and edited it while consulting with me about various things. I'm glad that it's a work that I can think of as "packing everything I'm feeling right now into it." When it was finished, I thought, "I can't wait for everyone to see it." I was very satisfied because I thought that packing everything I'm feeling into it would be the best way to express my 12 years in AKB48. Since I was alone, I was more focused than usual. I was also able to check the playback on site, so I filmed it, watched it, and gave my opinion like, "I'd like to do this part a little more like this." The staff called me "director," but I realized once again that there are staff members who "create" what I imagined. Until now, I only felt that I was a performer who sang and danced according to the set direction, so of course I knew that the staff were supporting me, but to be honest, there were some parts that I didn't see how they moved until I got there. When Akimoto-sensei gave me the lyrics, he told me that it was a love song, so I made an unreasonable request, saying that the flowers I hold should be related to love, but the art department collected them for me, and it was a big experience for me to experience creating a work as a team again. I think that 12 years have been full of things, but 12 years seems long, and when I think back on it now, it feels like it went by in the blink of an eye. I'm glad that I was able to meet so many people, including the fans, members, and staff, and I feel that I have to continue to pursue my dreams so that I can give back to everyone, so I feel very tense. I felt that "I will become one Yokoyama Yui from here on out" when I made the music video. I joined AKB48 because I was attracted to the concept of "girls with dreams taking flight from Akihabara," and I feel like that time has finally come. I feel that I need to do proper activities as a former AKB48 member and do work that will be seen by everyone. By the way, the music video is filled with photos of him with past members, his own memorable photos, and photos with his classmates, and you can see "Nironi" somewhere too (lol), so have a go at finding him!
