Recitation: Muhammadloiq qori Aminov. Translation: Sheikh Muhammadsadiq Muhammad Yusuf. This surah is one of the Meccan surahs and consists of one hundred and ten verses. The surah narrates three of the most beautiful and instructive stories to strengthen people's faith in God Almighty. The first of them is the story of "Ashabul-Kahf", which tells about the young men who sacrificed their lives to preserve their religion and faith from the tyranny of a tyrannical ruler, taking refuge in a cave and staying there for three hundred years. This is the reason why the surah is called "Kahf" - "Cave". The second story is the story of the prophets Moses and Khidr, in which the stories of Moses' humility in the path of knowledge and Khidr's being blessed with the gift of knowledge of the unseen, which was not given to other prophets, are narrated by the divine pen. The third story tells about the great king Dhul-Qarnayn, who, by the grace of Allah, was honored to rule the entire world, and his conquests. This surah also contains a number of instructive examples that show that wealth and power are not things worth being proud of, and that this worldly life is transient and impermanent.
