This year, the Essen waste disposal company (EBE) is reaching the children of Essen less than usual because of the corona pandemic: daycare plays, school theater, tours of the recycling center and events are largely canceled. That's why "Mr. Stinknich", who usually visits the children and explains a lot to them, has thought of something: he has made a film! With the new film, the EBE waste advice service becomes more media-based and versatile - a very nice addition, especially in corona times. It can also be seen on the EBE channel on YouTube. Mr. Stinknich is on the road in full garbage loader gear with Carsten, his driver. He stumbles upon a completely unsorted garbage can and looks through the contents. He starts to think: What actually happens when the paper ends up in the paper bin? What happens to my old banana peel when it has started its journey in the brown bin? He then answers such questions in short recordings about the recyclable material and recycling cycles. Mr. Stinknich stays true to himself: He shouts, sings, asks, answers and is always a bit clumsy. Mr. Stinknich is funny, embarrassing and shows disgusting details With the film, which lasts about half an hour, the EBE shows the children of Essen the wonderful world of waste and recycling. Mr. Stinknich is, as always, very funny. Sometimes he says embarrassing or disgusting things. Now and then he has mishaps, but he takes them in his stride. Typical Mr. Stinknich. Ebelin, our blue children's mascot, knows his stuff and helps him. Shaky "motion graphics" accompany the tidbits of knowledge Actor Patrick Strohm visited many places for the film that are important as stations for the recyclable materials. For example, he shows a collection point for old glass, the EBE bin storage facility, a recycling center and a waste incineration plant. He imparts knowledge in bite-sized pieces and as if in passing, always accompanied by music, simple “motion graphics” (small, moving drawings in the film) and short film excursions on the respective topic.
