The 320-kilometer stretch of highway across Moravia was built by 15,000 people using the most modern construction machinery at the time. When designing it, German engineers used completely new advanced construction methods. The spectacular project had parameters that exceed even current standards, and aesthetics were not an aside either. It was also planned to build a hotel, a cattle farm, and even an orchard that was supposed to be on the body of the highway. However, the incredible project was never completed and its remains can still be found in Moravia.
