Typical Black Forest scenery with traditional farms, cow pastures with grazing cattle in the background – and in the middle: a tepee. Not a tent, but a wooden structure. A timber construction company from Nordrach/Ortenau has recently started building tipis of various classes. From cozy or romantic right up to the lavish 10 metre tipi. 00:00 Olivia and her wooden tepee in Nordrach/Ortenau Olivia is absolutely thrilled with her very modern eco-wooden tepee. From the outside, many people would think that she probably wouldn't have much space in there. But they were wrong: she lives on two floors in 75 square metres with very high, sloping walls. Olivia was also worried at the beginning whether it would all work with her furniture, but it all worked out. 03:01 What connects Olivia with her tepee Tipis were important in Olivia's childhood and a recurring symbol, for example on the expedition to Canada that she went on with her parents. She associates tipis with freedom and security and the opportunity to live ecologically on a small budget. 04:57 How was the wooden tipi built? It was important to Olivia to have modern furnishings, but also to incorporate the origins of the tipi, for example by using sheep's wool on the wall. Her tipi is built so that it is cool in summer and warm in winter, which is further supported by infrared panels. It took three quarters of a year to build the tipi, but it could have been finished in two months. 06:57 Air to breathe Olivia finds the tipi shape pleasant because she feels so protected. But the shape also forces her to ask herself what she really needs and what she doesn't. What she doesn't need goes in the attic. She still has enough space and the feeling that she finally has some air to breathe. Ideally, she can live there forever. #Tipi #WohnenExtrem #haus Subscribe to the Landesschau channel: http://x.swr.de/s/landesschauabo Welcome to the official YouTube channel of the SWR Landesschau!
