Michaela is 37 and doesn't have long to live. That sounds harsh, but it's the truth. The former kindergarten teacher has cancer, or more precisely CUP syndrome. This means that the primary tumor is unknown. How long she has left to live is therefore unclear. Her doctors say she probably only has weeks or months. Michi was always a wild one, her friends say. I loved to party, she says herself. Then the cancer came. Now she can't dance anymore. But she has one last wish: she wants to go to the Modular Festival in Augsburg with her closest circle of friends one more time. This is made possible by the Wish Car, a project of the Workers' Samaritan Association that grants people's last wishes at the end of their lives. To go to the seaside or to their place of birth again. Usually the guests are older, but Y reporter Johannes Musial wants to accompany a young person on a trip. He thinks that many young people don't think much about death. But we can learn a lot by talking about dying. Johannes is allowed to accompany Michi to what is probably her last party with her friends and also talks to the volunteers from the Wish Car. In the end, he learns more about life than about death. --------- Author: Johannes Musial Twitter account: @johannesmusial Editing: Johannes Musial, Oliver Rusanov, Mareike Eckert, Martin Benedix Camera: Johannes Musial, Christoph Metzger CvD: Alina Schulz --------- Music used: Ufo361 40k // Weval Minute By Minute // 9 Lazy 9 Black Jesus // Lord Huron The Night We Met // Alica Deejay Better Off Alone // Real Estate Past Lives // Zero 7 In The Waiting Line // Lil Durk Bora Bora --------- ► Further information: planet wissen: The five stages of dying: https://www.planet-wissen.de/gesellsc...
