The Moscow Sretensky Monastery is hosting meetings on the topic: “Practical experience of the lives of outstanding pastors of the 19th-20th centuries.” These meetings are a continuation of the project “Orthodoxy. Educational courses for the laity.” The eighth lecture, which was given by Hieromonk Ignatius (Shestakov), a resident of the Moscow Sretensky Monastery, was dedicated to Saint Nicholas of Serbia. In his speech, Father Ignatius examined the following issues: the saint’s life; the experience of spiritual search; the nature of pastoral activity; the works and spiritual heritage of the pastor; influence on church life in Serbia; missionary experience; Saint Nicholas of Serbia and Russia.
