Man is notified about transplant on trail and is rescued by helicopter by firefighters. Ricardo Medeiros de Oliveira, 48, had been on the waiting list for a kidney transplant for nine years. Last Saturday, the 23rd, he received notification that a compatible organ had appeared. However, at the time, he was on a trail in the Serra dos Órgãos National Park, in Rio, at an altitude of over 2 thousand meters. With that, the Rio de Janeiro Fire Department used a helicopter to take the man to the Santa Casa Hospital in Juiz de Fora (MG).
