In the series of interviews of the special project "What's next?" we talk with Ukrainian intellectuals about the formation of a political nation in Ukraine, the language issue, what can be considered a victory or a defeat in the cultural and information confrontation, as well as about the steps that determine the future of our country. The guest of the last issue of the 1st season of the project "What's next?" — literary critic, professor of the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy" Vira Ageeva. She wrote a number of works on Ukrainian literature, in particular the book "Behind the scenes of the empire", which consists of essays on Ukrainian-Russian cultural relations, she also edited a series of reprints of the classic "Non-canonical canon" in the publishing house "Vikhola" and became a co-founder of the YouTube channel "Crazy female authors" ". In the interview, it is about why, despite oppression, Ukrainians managed to preserve their national identity, how (lack of) knowledge of their literature affects society, and whether gender issues are timely.
