Lake Garda - What to see - Guide and tips The first stop on our trip takes us to Sirmione, a city that develops along a thin strip of land that juts out into Lake Garda. To reach the Scaligero castle, the heart of the historic center, we decided to park far away and take the bus on the main street. The historic center immediately won us over with its surprising beauty, made up of narrow streets full of flowers. After leaving the town behind, we headed to the very famous Grotte di Catullo, an ancient Roman villa overlooking the lake. In Sirmione there are also beaches for swimming in the summer, while in winter a great alternative for relaxing are the spas, another reason why Sirmione is so famous and appreciated. We then end the day in Peschiera del Garda, famous for its lively atmosphere and for its picturesque bridges and canals that cross it. On the second day, we visit Salò, a city that offers a splendid lakeside walk among palm trees and oleanders, immersed in a wonderful landscape. After Salò, we continued towards Limone sul Garda, but along the way we encountered numerous interesting places such as the Eremo di Montecastello, the Pra dela Fam lemon house and the Strada della Forra, the most beautiful road we have ever traveled. Furthermore, once we reached the top of the village Pieve, we enjoyed a crazy view from the terrace of the Brivido dell'Hotel Paradiso. Finally we arrive in Limone sul Garda, where a splendid cycle path that runs along Lake Garda starts. The cycle path is suspended in the void and you will feel like you are pedaling in mid-air immersed in a surreal landscape. After the bike ride, finally, we visit the beautiful historic center of Limone sul Garda. Before concluding this weekend on Lake Garda, however, we allow ourselves one last stop at the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Corona, built among the rocks of Mount Baldo.
