A series of reports entitled “Cities about themselves”, dedicated to cities and towns in Lower Silesia, which are described by local experts, mayors and their residents themselves. The tourist attractions and the state of municipal infrastructure of individual Lower Silesian urban centres are coloured by a description of the historical and geographical profile. In this episode, a story about Kowary - a town located in the Jelenia Góra district, on the border of the Karkonosze, Rudawy Janowickie and the Jelenia Góra Valley in the Western Sudetes. The town is famous for its prosperous Carpet Factory, a slightly less profitable one - the Machine Factory, as well as for its health resort, which is a branch of the PPU in Cieplice. The material includes interviews with the residents of Kowary and the local authorities on the functioning of the aforementioned plants, the entertainment and cultural offer and, in general, on the specificity of the town.
