In the mountains of North Ossetia, surrounded by unfinished buildings, there is a lonely five-story building. This is what the village, whose name many have heard, looks like now - Karmadon. Here in September 2002, the Kolka glacier came down. As a result of this catastrophe, 125 people died or went missing. Among them was the film crew of Sergei Bodrov Jr. People still live in Karmadon now - several dozen people in the only five-story building without heating. There are no roads here - the asphalt highway, along with the tunnels, were also destroyed by the glacier that came down from the mountain peaks. And now people have to drive on a dirt road, which they made themselves. And on which, from time to time, huge boulders fall from the mountains. Once upon a time, there was a large sanatorium in the Karmadon Gorge. And the five-story building was built specifically for its workers, who continue to live here.
