It was announced some time ago that HSIJ steam locomotive Bonne would go to the Miljoenenlijn to drive the pre- and post-season runs there. The transport finally took place on 17 and 18 January 2023. After the boiler inspection was completed at the end of November 2022, the locomotive could leave for South Limburg. The truck drove via the ferry across the North Sea Canal over the A9, A2 and A76 towards Simpelveld to be unloaded there the next day. The staff present immediately reassembled the chimney and various other parts so that the locomotive will soon be ready for various test runs.
