In the latest part of the show In the field, reporter Ivan Mego addresses the controversial figure of the Slovak underworld - Ľudovít Sátor, also known as Lajos Sátor. This man is considered the biggest serial killer in the history of not only Slovakia, but also the whole of Europe. Sátor grew up in Dunajská Streda and was already involved in the activities of the local mafia at a young age. He allegedly started his murderous career at the age of 20 and gradually developed into a feared mafia boss. In the show, Ivan Mego reveals shocking details about Sátor's brutality, including the fact that he had no qualms about killing women either. Several members told the story of how Ľudovít Sátor, a 23-year-old boy and a member of the Šipoš murder squad, presented the unshakable power of his boss. When the latter gave the order to murder his companion, Sátor and his partner Kec did not hesitate. They shot Igor Bíró without mercy, according to the gang members, they then put their victim in the car on the passenger seat and went to say goodbye to Dunajská Streda. While Keco was supposed to be driving, Ľudovít Sátor, who was sitting behind the executed Bír, waved his limp hand from the car window in farewell. He even brutally tortured and murdered his love interest. He kidnapped the teacher, with whom his girlfriend at the time was supposed to have an affair, cut off his genitals, stuffed them in his mouth and then dismembered him. Sátor eluded justice for more than 10 years. Despite the fact that he is responsible for approximately one hundred murders, the police have never arrested him. The frequent change of appearance also contributed to his successful hiding, thanks to which people often could not identify him. The fate of Ľudovít Sátor is shrouded in mystery. According to the original testimony of Lehel Horváth, a former member of Sátor's group, Sátor was supposed to be dead. Horváth claimed that he shot him himself. However, the body was never found, casting doubt on the veracity of this claim. Recently, however, the case took a new, surprising turn. Lehel Horváth changed his statement and now claims that Sátor is still alive and just hiding. This new information once again stirred up speculation about the fate of the most feared Slovak criminal.
