The town of Nothweiler is located in the Palatinate Forest Nature Park and houses the Nothweiler iron ore mine. In the St. Anna tunnel, like the mine, the temperature remains at exactly 9°C in summer and winter. The humidity is a pleasant 80%. Narrow passages lead through the red sandstone. Anyone who wants to take part in one of the tours into the mountain must first put on a black miner's smock and a yellow safety helmet.
