More turnover through better texts on your website, newsletter or other online expressions. Successful entrepreneurs can do business even more successfully by making a few simple adjustments. How do you make your website irresistible? ⇨ Subscribe now to the 7DTV channel for more videos: https://bit.ly/2Je2J5D In this episode we share five practical entrepreneurial lessons from online marketing and sales expert Aartjan van Erkel. #1 'Kill the clichés.' Van Erkel: 'Things often go wrong in marketing and on company websites. We copy each other. From IT companies that always talk about 'white papers' and 'solutions' to commercial companies that 'keep you informed via the newsletter'. That is very boring for customers. That is not how you attract your customers. (…) My favorite way is to say: 'I have a fantastic gift for you'. If you also mention that they receive a tip every week to get an irresistible website, you can send out a newsletter.' #2 Let your texts bleed Almost every customer has a problem. There is always a solution for that, we read in brochures and on websites of many companies. These companies only mention this solution, but not the problem. Van Erkel: 'Make sure that your website answers five questions that every visitor has in their head.' Watch the entire episode to find out what these questions are! #3 & #4: 'Make your customers emotional' & 'Then bring the heart rate down again' Van Erkel: 'We triggered the instinct in the previous lesson. Then you make your customers emotional by mentioning the consequences of the problem. (…) This step is actually always skipped, but it is a golden formula in copywriting. First a problem, then the emotion and then the reassurance.' #5 'Your customer is not a one-night stand' Working on long-term customer relationships is one of the smartest ways to sell something to your existing customers. Van Erkel: 'One of the ways you can solve this is to go on the air more often. After your customer has been to you, to let you hear from you regularly.' More entrepreneurial lessons?
