Hello everyone! In this video, we will see how Power Over Ethernet technology, known as POE, works. This technology allows power and data to be sent directly through the network cable in IP CCTV cameras. We will learn the differences between passive POE and active POE, as well as the variations that exist in this technology. In this video, we used an Intelbras passive POE injector, model 200p V2, and an Intelbras active POE switch, model SF500 POE. We applied active POE technology to the Intelbras camera, model VIP 1230D, and to the Hikvision camera, model DS-2CD1001-i. We also saw the variations of the IEEE 802.3 standard that differentiate the types of POE. Happy studying!
