A TEDx to tell you three things. What is traditional artificial intelligence and how does it work, through which a machine is able to learn from large amounts of data. What is generative artificial intelligence and how does it work, which allows computers to chat with us, paint, make films, write poetry or compose music. Finally, why – whether we like it or not – artificial intelligence is no longer a choice. Twenty-eight years old, graduated with honors from the University of Pisa and the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Medicine, Engineering, Biotechnology and Molecular Biotechnology. He earned a master's degree in Medical Sciences. Today he is a neuroscientist expert in artificial intelligence applied to biomedicine, a doctoral student who won five scholarships at the University of Cambridge, which earned him the title of Vice-Chancellor's Awardee. Author of the bestseller “Il metodo geniale”, published by Mondadori, he was included by Forbes among the 100 Number One – ranking of young leaders of the future – and founded the national orientation project “A Choice for Life”. He was the first Italian to have won the global research grant “Harvard HIP”, which allowed him to enter a research project promoted by Harvard and MIT. At the age of 18 he ranked second in the World Neuroscience Championship, the only Italian to have climbed onto the podium in the history of the competition.
