Guided missiles are smart bombs that can track targets and change their path to hit them with high precision. While ballistic missiles simply follow an arcing path towards their predetermined target, guided missiles continuously track and eventually hunt the target along the way. But how do guided missiles operate with such deadly precision? If you are interested in this topic, please subscribe to Admiral's channel and stay with us until the end of the video. Guided missiles were first developed by Germany during World War II. Germany's weapons development program included long-range tactical missiles that were fired against British and other European cities during Hitler's air campaign. Although these weapons were generally very efficient in destroying targets, their automatic guidance system lacked the precision necessary to hit the target points accurately. The guided missile consists of several key components, including the engine, warhead, flight control system and guidance system. The engine propels the missile from the launcher to the target, while the warhead holds the explosives and the flight control system is responsible for maneuvering the missile and maintaining a precise flight path. The guidance system also identifies the target and directs the missile towards it.
