Nevertheless, the unfortunate stories stay with them for their entire lives. Even if they were able to partially restore their honor, the scandals stick to their reputation. The role the media plays in this is particularly evident in Jörg Kachelmann's case. He is currently demanding 3.25 million euros for defamation and damage to reputation. But the "Carlos" case would never have escalated into a scandal and ended the career of the youth lawyer Gürber without the Swiss television documentary and the reaction of the other media.
