Lock, Shock and Barrel are some of the most interesting and curious characters that we can find in the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas, also known as The Nightmare Before Christmas by Disney and the talented director Henry Sellick and Tim Burton who wrote the original poem on which the movie was based, also Tim Burton created all the characters that we see in the film. Lock Shock and Barrel or Lock, Shock and Barrel are some of the most memorable characters that we can see in the film since unlike other inhabitants that exist in the world of Halloween or Halloween Town, the three spectral children Lock, Shock and Barrel are not really monsters, demons or classic horror creatures like vampires, witches, zombies or werewolves, which does make them look somewhat out of place in the context of the story. As we can see in the film, Lock, Shock and Barrel function as the secondary antagonists of the story, as they are mainly the henchmen of Oogie Boogie and that Boogeyman full of insects who lives in the basement under his treehouse, that is why they are mentioned in the film as the children of Oogie Boogie or Boogie's boys, curiously there is a very interesting fan theory that seeks to explain in better detail how these three characters really ended up in the world of Halloween or Halloween Town, taking into account that they probably perished in a tragic way.
