(Audio-video correction subtitle version) Sermon video provided by: Bonjeonggeosa We are living in an extremely unstable era now. How convenient is our life? In this post-industrial society, there are many convenient machines, and there is simply an enormous amount of knowledge and information. It would be good if we had everything in moderation, but because there is so much knowledge and information, we cannot properly process it. We know a lot, but among all that complex knowledge, which is the most essential knowledge? How can we make our minds at ease? This is what I mainly talked about. So I will conclude today's sermon with the question of how can we make our minds at ease? I will wrap it up and talk about it now. Remember the six days of the month, the six days of the month. I’m not saying that you have to remember all the dates, like the 8th or the 14th or the 15th, but you should set at least six days a month as days of abstinence from your desires. If you put the mani jewel into cloudy water, the cloudy water will be purified. In the same way, our minds are also turbid right now. The thoughts of “I” and “you” are also turbid minds. I’m just thinking about the Buddha’s pure and incomparable name. When we always think about it, chant it, and recite it, our minds will also become clear. If we do that, it will be the turbid sins of infinite birth and death. If you look at the Buddhist scriptures, what I just said was not something I made up. It is in the Buddha's sutras, "Even if our mind is murky from countless sins committed over the years since our past lives, when we recite and call the Buddha's name over and over again, it is all purified, so we immediately attain rebirth. This means that our mind immediately attains enlightenment. Even if our mind is murky, you can call it Amitabha Buddha, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, or something else. I sincerely hope that as you chant the Buddha's name, our mind will truly be purified and we will be happy. ▶ Smartphone app: Buddha's words, sermons, and Namu Amitabha chanting by Great Monk Cheonghwa https://play.google.com/store/apps/de... ▶ Muju Seonwon, the home of the mind with Amitabha Buddha https://cafe.daum.net/mujuseonwon
