And not without reason: The clear, green waters of the lake, which you can also walk around on the Eibsee circular path, reflect the spectacular massif of the Zugspitze, the highest mountain in Germany. There's also a ski area up there on the glacier at Zugspitzplatt. We would like to take you to the area in this video and show you what to expect when you go there for a skiing holiday. Facts about the Zugspitze ski area: ► 20 km of slopes ► 8 lifts ► 2,000m to 2,730m altitude The Zugspitze ski area can be described as the most snow-sure ski area in Germany due to its altitude. You have three options for getting to the area from the valley - either with the Zugspitze cable car, with the Bavarian Zugspitzbahn or with a cable car from Tyrol. At the top of the mountain there is a huge viewing platform from which you can see the surrounding mountains in Austria and Germany - also known as the Top of Germany. ????
