These exercises do not necessarily help with acute pain. The exercises in this video are intended for prevention and for people with knee pain who have no other abnormalities found in an X-ray or MRI of the knee joint and who have either no pain or chronic pain. Acute pain, effusions, entrapment problems, injuries and severe arthrosis often have a different cause and may need to be treated differently. In order to reverse knee pain, the cause must be eliminated. To do this, all shortened muscles must first be returned to their natural length. The muscles must first be made elastic using pressure points at the muscle attachment, then they must be stretched and finally the stretching must be repeated daily. This pressure relief can reduce knee pain.
