What is a gas soldering iron, why do you need it at all and what can you do with a gas soldering iron? I got my hands on a gas soldering iron with a burner. I tested it and showed and told in the video what this thing is capable of. So, the soldering iron device is very simple: a gas cylinder, a fuel supply adjustment knob, a fuel mixture mixer and soldering iron and burner nozzles. And if everything is simple with the burner nozzle, then the soldering iron is a completely different matter. How does a gas soldering iron work? It has a catalyst, on which flameless oxidation of the fuel mixture, propane and butane occurs. What is the catalyst made of if platinum is too expensive, and the soldering iron is too cheap to contain platinum or palladium. What to fill a gas soldering iron with?
