Spain (España), a country where many civilizations from the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean are in harmony. We start our journey in the coastal city of Nerja. The Balcony of Europe (Balcón de Europa) is located on a cliff that juts out from the coastline of Nerja. It was a watchtower built by the Moors who occupied this place in the 9th century, but Alfonso XII, who happened to visit this place in the 19th century, named it the Balcony of Europe, and it has now become a Mediterranean viewpoint visited by people from all over the world. We enjoy the Octopus Festival (Festa do Pulpo de O Carballiño) in O Carballiño, a small town in the Galician region bordering the Atlantic Ocean. We taste the Galician octopus dish Pulpo a la Gallega and listen to the characteristic Celtic music of the Galician region. This time, we head to the historic city of Córdoba. There are Islamic-style buildings all over Cordoba, influenced by the 8th-century Islamic rule. The most notable of these is the Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba. This cathedral was built by adding a Renaissance-style chapel to an Islamic mosque, and has a unique appearance that you won’t find anywhere else in the world. We stop by a small old restaurant to appease our hungry stomachs and try Rabo de Toro, a traditional Cordoba dish. It’s Spanish-style stewed oxtail in tomato sauce! We fall in love with the deep and soft taste of Spain. To truly experience the taste of Spain, we head to El Palmar, a small fishing village in the Valencia region. We have a fun time catching crabs and mullet with the help of a friendly fisherman, Mr. Luis, at the Albufera, an internationally managed Ramsar wetland and ecosystem treasure. We visited the house that Mr. Luis invited us to. Enjoy a meal of Fideuà, a traditional Valencian dish made by boiling thin thread-shaped noodles (fideo) and seafood, and share a warm feeling. #WorldThemeTravel #BoiledFestival #Spain #TasteofPassion #Nerja #SalónBeach #BalconyofEurope #Ocarballino #OctopusFestival #Cordoba #CordobaCathedral #SteamedOxtailMeal #Albufera #MungeeCatching #CrabCatching #FideuàMeal
