Some people who are very adventurous like to travel to the coldest place on the planet and have this strange experience in their portfolio. But where is the coldest residential area in the world and how do people live in this place, is the subject that we are going to talk about in this video. In the name of Yakutsk, in fact, the country of Russia consists of eight federal districts, and this division has been implemented since 2000 by the order of Vladimir Putin. Each federal district is managed by a representative from the President of Russia. The role of this representative is to communicate between the officials of the federal units and the officials of the federal government in Moscow. The main responsibility of these officials is to monitor the implementation of federal laws in each unit of the Russian Federation. The eight federal districts we named are: 1) Central Federal District 2) Southern Federal District 3) Northwestern Federal District 4) Far Eastern Federal District 5) Siberian Federal District 6) Ural Federal District 7) Volga Federal District 8) Federal District The North Caucasus of the Yakut Republic, which is also called Sakha, forms half of the Federal District of the Far East, and with an area of 3,083,523 square kilometers, it is the largest country division among all countries in the world in terms of area. Yakutia is located in the northeast of Siberia and is the largest region in the Russian Federation. Inside this vast republic, there are two big lakes named Bostakh and Labinkier. But despite its size, the least amount of population lives in this area. The residents of this area are of Turkish descent and are known as Yaqut people or Russian Turks. There are usually many questions about when people have set foot in this area despite the extreme cold in this area. Historians believe that humans have lived in this area since ancient times. Archaeologists say that humans lived in this area since the Paleolithic era. Because the ancient artifacts discovered in this area are related to three million to three thousand years ago. The native inhabitants of this region were people from the Tungusi tribe, but their population was very small, and when the Sakha Turks entered this region, the native population merged with the Sakhas. In fact, the Turks have not been here since ancient times and migrated to this area between the 9th and 16th years. The story of their migration is an interesting story. In fact, this move coincides with the Mongols' attack. When the Mongols attacked the eastern lands, some of the Turkic ancestors left that area and sought refuge in Yakutistan region, and later became known as Yakut people. The life of the people in that area was very similar to the early humans, they usually spent their days hunting and raising livestock and mostly engaged in raising deer. The official language of the region is Russian, but the people themselves have a local language known as Yakutia. 60% of the inhabitants are of Turkish descent, 37% are Russians and 3% are Ukrainians. But as we said, the capital or center of the state of Yakutsk is called Yakutsk. This city is one of the largest cities in Siberia and is only 450 km away from the North Pole. This city officially has the record of the lowest temperature recorded in the world and is considered the coldest city in the world. In fact, the city of Yakutsk was founded in 1632 as a war fortress. This city is an icy hell, its normal temperature in the hot days of the year is minus 35 degrees and in the cold days of winter, it has experienced minus 50 to minus 60 degrees. Out of the one million population of Yakutistan, 400 thousand people live in this frozen city. Two months out of the year and in the summer season, the weather in this city gets hot and reaches up to plus 20 degrees. Sometimes it happens that there is no heat during the year. But the reason why the city is cold is that the city of Yakutsk is located between two mountains, and if you go up the surrounding mountains, the weather will be warmer. In the cold months of the year, the people of this region try not to leave the house much. If they have to work outside the house or go out for important work, they wear several layers of warm clothes, which makes it difficult for them to move normally. If they have to travel by vehicle, they keep the engine of these vehicles on for the whole day, the reason is that the engine does not freeze and the battery does not get damaged. In fact, those who own a car do not use their vehicle for seven months. During these seven months, you can see as many cars as you want, abandoned on the side of the street, for God's sak
