The Romantic Road (Romantische Strasse), a trade route that once connected Germany, Italy, and Austria. From Würzburg to Füssen, we begin our German journey along the Romantic Road, a road of romance as its name suggests. First, we drink Frankenwein while looking at the Main River flowing from the 500-year-old Alte Mainbrücke in Würzburg, the starting point of the Romantic Road. We leave the city and head to a pig farm in a meadow full of sunflowers. Here, traditional European pigs are raised and grazed on a wide meadow. We move to a butcher shop run directly by the farm and taste Leberwurst, a sausage made from healthy pigs. The highlight of the Romantic Road is Rothenburg. The well-preserved medieval city looks like a picture from a fairy tale. The Christmas shop, where a nutcracker greets you, is full of cute handicrafts. We visited the Schneeballen store, which means ‘snowflake cake’ in Korean. The familiar yet sweet taste made us feel good. Next, we visited the Medieval Crime Museum (Mittelalterliches Kriminalmuseum), which exhibits the criminal tools, punishments, and torture tools of medieval criminals. There are over 50,000 exhibits! The museum’s enormous exhibition scale shows the cruel punishments of medieval Europe in detail. We also stop by the 1,100-year-old Hell Restaurant and taste Schäufele made with pork shoulder. We head to Füssen, the last stop on the Romantic Road, where the Alps are located. We enjoy the autumn atmosphere while walking along the picturesque Alpsee. The highlight is the flower of Füssen, Neuschwanstein Castle, built by Ludwig II of the former Kingdom of Bavaria. Take a carriage ride up to the Marienbrücke, which connects the valleys, and admire the scenery famous for the Disney Castle! Then, go up to Tegelberg, where the former Bavarian kingdom's villa was located, and reminisce about your memories of the Romantic Road. #WorldThemeTravel #EuropeanFantasia #GermanSlovakia #RomanticRoad #RomanticRoad #Würzburg #AltemainBridge #MarienbergFortress #PigFarmandSausage #Rothenburg #ChristmasShop #Schneeballen #MedievalCrimeMuseum #Füssen #NeuschwansteinCastle #Marienbrücke #Tegelberg #CableCarandObservationDeck
