Remembering the tranquil time I spent at Tokusa Onsen, a hidden hot spring in Oku-Aizu, Fukushima, 10 years ago, I headed to Aizu Kogen Ozeguchi Station on my hot spring trip to Oku-Aizu. In the first part, I visited Yunohana Onsen in the former Tateiwa village of Minamiaizu Town, where the public baths, Kobo no Yu, Yubatano Yu, Tenjin no Yu, and Ishiyu, each have their own unique charm. The first night was spent at the famous soba noodle inn, Megumi's soba noodle Momijikan, and the next day, for lunch, I went to Takine, a soba noodle restaurant where the soba noodles are made right in front of you. The second night was spent at Minshuku Fujiya, an inn with a curved house in Oku-Aizu, where the proprietress cooked the local Oku-Aizu cuisine.
