Chanson d'automne - Georges Brassens 05:33 3. Mon amant de Saint-Jean - Lucienne Delyle 08:40 4. Paris en automne - Patachou 10:47 5. Sous le ciel de paris - Edith Piaf 14:09 6. Sur Un Prélude De Bach - Maurane Here are some points that I recommend! I'll introduce the songs as well~ 1. Septembre – Barbara 'September' by singer-songwriter Barbara, who is loved by the French. Her unique voice flows with the simple accompaniment of piano and accordion. Personally, I think her singing style suits winter better because of her black outfit, but it also suits fall well. I chose this song because the title is September. We know the song as 'The Black Eagle (L'Aigle Noir)'. 2. Chanson d'automne - Georges Brassens Georges Brassens, the founder of French troubadours and the singer with the most names of streets and buildings in France. I don't personally enjoy listening to his songs, but his voice suits fall well. And this song is doubly so because it's 'Autumn Song'. 3. Mon amant de Saint-Jean - Lucienne Delyle This is a song I've loved ever since I first heard it. Of course, the version I fell in love with was the one sung by Patrick Bruel, but this time I'd like to recommend the original. This song was first sung by Lucienne Delyle (very important in French chanson) and made her a star. She passed away at the young age of 45, but her daughter followed in her mother's footsteps and became a singer. 4. Paris en automne - Patachou A song by Patachou, a singer and actress who received the French Legion of Honor. The wonderful accordion is played by the composer of this song, Joss Bazelli. It shows the characteristics of the old chanson with repeated paroles and leprechauns. It is a live performance recording where you can hear applause. 5. Sous le ciel de paris - Edith Piaf If you have seen a performance of Madame Chanson, you may have heard it as the opening song of the chanson concert. I wanted to include a song by Edith Piaf, who I like and respect the most. The lyrics of the song describe summer, but I think the mood of the song fits better with late summer and early fall. It is a dark but rhythmic feeling with the 'waltz' in the 'minor' key, which I consider a characteristic of chanson. I miss the clear autumn sky of Paris. 6. Sur Un Prélude De Bach - Maurane This is the representative song of Maurane, a Belgian singer-songwriter and actress. I learned this song at a chanson school and liked it so much that I practiced it separately. Her voice, which has a rich low tone and a lonely feeling, is really attractive. The well-known Bach's Well-Tempered Clavicle melody appears at the beginning, and the lyrics also feature musicians, songs, and musical terms. Seeing her express her thoughts on life like this, I think she was a true musician. #Autumn #Chanson #Playlist #MadameChanson #ChansonSinger #SingerKimJooYeon
