Hello everyone, Next Saturday comes the second part on the topic of ants! Project Ant - Accessibility and automated driving in local public transport On behalf of the Esslingen University of Applied Sciences, a project partner of the AMEISE research project funded by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Transport. Our project is dedicated to testing autonomous shuttle buses in local public transport in Ehningen in the Böblingen district. The broad introduction of local public transport services with autonomous road vehicles could offer a solution to some of the most pressing challenges in the transport system in the future. Making such transport services usable for as many people as possible and thus barrier-free is not a sure-fire success. The aim is not just to make local public transport "good enough", but to create an attractive mobility offer for our society. With this in mind, we are planning a series of interviews with people with reduced mobility, from which we will derive recommendations for the state government and future operators. We would like to invite you to a test drive. The operation takes place on a predefined route in Ehningen and is always accompanied by a driver who can intervene in an emergency or help the passengers. In September 2024, we are looking for test subjects with visual, hearing or physical impairments who are interested in a test drive and subsequent interview. The entire process, consisting of the pick-up at the destination, the joint route to the stop, the test drive in the shuttle bus and the subsequent interview. This day with test drive and interview was accompanied by: Dr. Reha Tözün bridgingIT Project Manager AMEISE and Frederik Schell Esslingen University W/T Project Management Thank you for this day! https://www.hs-esslingen.de/informati... https://www.bridging-it-gruppe.de/ref... https://www.baden-wuerttemberg.de/de/... https://interlink-verkehr.de/aktuelle...
