Mariupol policewoman Maryana Checheliuk spent more than two years in captivity. According to her relatives, she was detained right in front of international organizations. Maryana's family moved to Switzerland, where all this time they sought the release of their child, including at the UN office. Recently, the girl set foot on Ukrainian soil as part of 75 released prisoners. However, as her parents said, her fiancé, a soldier in the Azov regiment, remains in captivity. What letters did they receive from Maryana, how did they survive this time, and how did the first meeting of the relatives take place - in the story of the Radio Liberty project "How are you?". We have prepared requests to the Red Cross and the UN and will publish their position on the case of Maryana Checheliuk as soon as we receive a response.
