SWISTER TOWER The tower was built in 1100-1125 and is the remains of an old parish and pilgrimage church in the lost village of Swist. There is also a small water bunker from 1909 that can only be viewed from the outside. Approx. 16 km circular walk through the forest. Paths are easy to walk, partly forest, partly gravel path. Start Merten Bornheim at the hiking car park on the wooden path. Destination Swister Tower Weilerswist on the Eifel. Traces between Ville and Eifel and back to the hike. Merten car park. Music wave. You Tube.
