About :

Buying a house or an apartment is an important moment in life. It is an opportunity to plan for the future, but many problems come into play: money problems, credit problems, lack of time, etc. We followed the journey of several families who are looking for a house. Julie and Hicham can no longer stand living cramped in their small Parisian studio. After several searches, they fell in love with an old building that needed renovation. To make their dream come true, they have to face reality. Their limited financial means and Hicham's professional situation do not make it easy to apply for credit with banks. If they manage to become owners, it will be a step in their life as a couple. Their children having become independent, Frédérique and Christian want to sell their Provençal villa for a smaller one that is easier to maintain. Francis, a Parisian building caretaker, wants to buy his own property, a house in the countryside. Despite his meager budget, he dreams of wide open spaces. In Paris, good deals are very rare, the shortage has caused prices to explode. Due to lack of time, many people now call on real estate specialists, apartment hunters. This documentary presents the journey of these families with their moments of enthusiasm and discouragement. Director: Amélie Develay
