It was held for the fourth consecutive year, on 4 and 5 May 2024 in Miasino and Ameno (NO), on Lake Orta, Letture Amene Festival of Nature, Illustrated Books and the Arts dedicated in 2024 to "Care. Words, images, relationships and nature in illustrated books for boys and girls". The two-day event, for curious adults, educators, families, children and adults, began on Saturday morning 4 May with the Round Table opening the festival, continuing in the afternoon and then throughout the day on Sunday with workshops, animated readings and theatrical performances for boys and girls and their parents in various locations in Villa Nigra, in Miasino and in some places in Ameno (NO). The program also saw the involvement of girls and boys from the lower secondary school, whether or not they are part of the CCR (Municipal Councils of Children) who got involved with readings for all the curious and took them to visit some rooms of the magical ancient Villa Nigra, made available for the Festival. All the activities saw the participation of nationally and internationally renowned figures in the world of children's publishing: many initiatives dedicated to reading, learning and fun in the splendid setting of Lake Orta. In addition to the round table on Saturday, 9 workshops and 2 theatrical performances took place. This year, for the first time, we had the artistic direction curated by Emanuela Bussolati, Andersen Prize winner, well known not only for her artistic production but also for her commitment to the well-being of children and young people. The Letture Amene Festival was the culmination of a journey that began in February 2024 with the ExtraFestival, which saw the creation of a series of events dedicated to reading in 14 municipalities around Lake Orta!
