Ezekiel 32 is the sixth prophecy of judgment against Egypt. In the first part, Pharaoh's fierce power is described, likened to a lion and a monster in the seas. In the second part, God's judgment on Egypt is announced, including its defeat by enemies and the darkness of the sun, moon, and stars. In the third part, the literal fall of Egypt to Babylon is portrayed, including the destruction of the army and the scattering of the people. In the second half of the chapter, the prophet describes Egypt's descent into Sheol, the world of the dead, along with other fallen nations. This description serves as a warning to Pharaoh and the surrounding nations that God's justice is certain and that all nations are subject to His judgment. God concludes the four-chapter series of judgment against Egypt. Here He highlights the repercussions that the judgment will have on the nation. God's judgment is undoubtedly formidable.
