Auschwitz is one of the most famous concentration camps during World War II, built by the Germans in Poland, and it is estimated that over the course of about five years, 1.3 million people were held in Auschwitz. In this video, I will first talk about the background to the formation of this terrible camp and explain the spatial, temporal, and historical significance of this camp. Then I will go into what the living conditions of the people trapped in Auschwitz were like and what a day would have been like for someone who was there. At the end of the video, I will explain what remains of Auschwitz after Poland was liberated by the Soviet army and what criticisms were made of the Allies for their negligence in attacking Auschwitz.
