Well, summer is over and, as always for the last couple of years, we are back with a new season, this time the third and last of FICCIÓPATAS. Today, in our first episode, we dissect "La mortaja" by Miguel Delibes, originally within his homonymous anthology 'La mortaja' (Alianza, 1970). In this story, which also opens the anthology, the four constants of Delibes' narrative come together clearly: childhood, death, neighbor and nature. Delibes was a Spanish novelist, journalist and member of the Royal Spanish Academy until his death in 2010. He is the author of novels such as "El hereje", "El camino", "Los santos inocentes" or "La sombra del ciprés es alargada", a work that earned him the Nadal Prize in 1947. He also wrote a large number of travel and hunting books, as well as essays and articles, in addition to stories. Many of his works have also been adapted, especially for film and theatre (where he actively participated in the adaptation). Do you know the author? Have you read anything by him? Let us know in the comments. 🧐 *** If you want to support our podcast so that we can continue buying scalpels and gowns and sharpen those knives that await us on our dissection table, you can do so by buying our books, following us on social media and sharing our content, but also by inviting us to a coffee (or two) at https://ko-fi.com/ficciopatas You can also read our books and wear our t-shirts.
