But unfortunately Israel’s attitude has not changed, not even with respect to what the International Court of Justice had ascertained.” Basile strongly emphasized that what the Palestinians are experiencing is a “live genocide.” “There is a plan behind it, and that is to carry out ethnic cleansing,” she added. The former Italian diplomat then commented on the possible re-election of Donald Trump to the White House and Joe Biden’s approval of the use of long-range US missiles on Russian territory. A move, according to Basile, aimed at “making life more difficult” for Trump before he can keep his promise to end the war in 2025. A promise that, he explained, will have to deal with reality: the wall of the military-industrial complex, the security agencies and the neocoons of the State Department.
