Electric field is a field formed by lines of force around an electric charge, being a vector quantity. In the study of the electric field, it is important to know the direction of these lines of force when this field is generated by a negative or positive electric charge. When it is generated by a positive charge, the electric field is a divergent field, that is, the lines of force come out of the electric charge. On the other hand, when it is generated by a negative charge, the electric field is a convergent field, that is, the lines of force go in the direction of the electric charge. Finally, Physics questions always ask you to calculate the intensity of the electric field, so pay attention to learn the formula!
