A film about the shipping of the GDR on the Elbe in 1954. Filmed on a tugboat belonging to the DSU shipping company Magdeburg on the Elbe - downstream from Schmilka to Hamburg. Impressions and contemporary history from that historical time when Germany did not yet appear to be finally divided (for 40 years).
