[Participation, Representation and Truth] Many see it as a step forward that the synod that recently ended in Rome gave voice and vote to other people and not only to bishops. This leads us to ask ourselves about the meaning of PARTICIPATION, which in this case has left a rather extensive trail of discontent about the people and voices that were not heard throughout the synodal process. In turn, this discussion leads us to the delicate issue of REPRESENTATIVENESS, since participation evidently cannot be direct and immediate for all the people who might have something to say. Who should represent and who should be represented? Is it simply a matter of variety and diversity? These questions lead us to a central point: what really matters is the TRUTH of God's will for the Church today. To renounce that truth and that will is to turn the Church into a spoil of human interests. And the guardians of that truth are those who by the sacramental anointing of the episcopate have been constituted as legitimate successors of the apostles. From which it is concluded that true LISTENING must be carried out by the bishop, first in his diocese, and then in dialogue with the other bishops, so that this common discernment offers the Pope, who has the mission of confirming in the faith, the optimal elements to provide a useful word in Christ for the entire Church. * * SUBSCRIBE or BECOME A MEMBER of this Channel: / @fraynelson PayPal Donations: https://paypal.me/fraynelsonmedina Support us on Patreon! : / fraynelson My Telegram channel: http://t.me/fraynelson Blog: http://fraynelson.com/blog ALSO: Subscribe for free to my daily evangelization newsletter: http://fraynelson.com/suscripciones.html DOMINICAN Page in Colombia: http://opcolombia.org
