How to register for a doctorate in France? What exactly does a doctorate consist of? Do I have the level to register for a doctorate and how to succeed in a doctorate? If you are asking yourself all these questions, it is because you are looking to do a doctorate but you do not yet know how to go about it. Often, the moment when we ask ourselves these questions corresponds to the moment when we are seriously considering a doctorate, without knowing what the prerequisites are and whether we can really apply for it. In this video, I explain how to do a PhD in France: what degrees you need (bachelor's, master's, VAE?), what challenge the PhD represents and why, how to register for a PhD and what the PhD consists of (the #doctoral thesis and doctoral credits). This will allow you to better understand how it works in France (and in Europe more generally) and everything you need to know before anything else to allow you to take stock. Without funding for three years, I completed my thesis thanks to funding from the very prestigious Yale University. During my studies, I was faced with many questions and like most PhD students, I was very poorly supported in all my efforts and my journey has really been that of a fighter. I have always been keen to help PhD students. At the beginning of my doctoral studies, I was elected to represent PhD students on the Laboratory Councils and the doctoral school, and now I want to devote myself entirely to supporting PhD students. Why? Because if I had been supported myself, I would have saved precious time, I would have made fewer mistakes, I would have fumbled less and I would have asserted myself much more quickly in the research community. I would have lost much less energy and probably earned my living much sooner. Instead, I remained precarious for years and today, I want to help as many doctoral students as possible to get out of this precariousness by giving them the keys that I acquired through the sweat of my brow. 🛎 SUBSCRIBE! 🛎 👉 / @erikadupont 👉 The Blog: https://erikadupont.com/blog/ 👉 Facebook: / dupont.erika 👉 Insta: / erika.dupont_vstein
