The products are the result of the Safeguard of Capoeira in Bahia project, which toured 11 cities, connecting 15 territories and interviewing more than 70 capoeira masters from different groups, styles, and lineages. The digital portal, available starting on the 24th at www.capoeiradabahia.com.br, will provide information about capoeira and its masters; a map of capoeira in Bahia; a repository of books and theses; training courses for capoeiristas; tourist itineraries for capoeira in Bahia; and an online store with the production of master craftsmen. The book Capoeira da Bahia: histórias, territórios e trajetórias, organized by researcher Paulo Magalhães, provides a great synthesis of the history of capoeira in Bahia, in its various moments of transformation, showing the development of different styles and lineages, in addition to the life stories of capoeira masters and mistresses representing ten territories of identity. The documentary Capoeira in Bahia: a current portrait, directed by Mestre Duda Carvalho, addresses several cross-cutting themes such as the different myths of capoeira's origin, its processes of resistance and struggle, training/education, in addition to the difficulties faced by women in a space that is still patriarchal. During the launch, the products will be presented and there will be a targeted distribution of the books, to masters and group leaders. The Safeguarding of Capoeira in Bahia project was conceived and built by the Managing Council of Safeguarding Capoeira in Bahia and executed through a partnership with ACEB – Bahia's Professional Association for Education and Sports. It happened through a public call from IPAC – Institute of Artistic and Cultural Heritage of Bahia, with resources from the Aldir Blanc Law and financial support from IPAC, SECULT, State Government, Special Secretariat of Culture and Ministry of Tourism. #MovimentoPopulardaCapoeira #CapoeiraAngola #CapoeiraRegional #Capoeira #CapoeiradeRua #SafeguardaDaCapoeiraNaBahia
