Instructions for installing interior window sills Measuring the interior window sill We measure the depth of the window sill, including the recess of the window sill to the window base profile. Add at least 30 mm to the measured depth for the window sill overlap. We measure the window sill length between the window sills. We subtract 5 mm from the measured length, which corresponds to the thickness of the pair of side covers. We measure the angle of the window sill. If the window sills open, we measure the longer side of the window sill. We perform the same procedure on the other side of the window sill. Preparing the window sill We measure the depth of the base profile. We subtract the measurement from the total depth of the side cover. We gently peel off the protective film from the sides of the window sill (never tear off the film completely during installation). We put on the cover and subtract the measurement of the depth of the base profile from the total depth of the cover. We shorten the cover as needed. We will do the same procedure on the other side of the window sill. We will gently peel off the protective film from the back of the window sill, for easier removal after installation (never tear off the film completely during installation). We will first install the prepared window sill in a rough way for a test. If we find gaps between the window sill and the window, we will underlay the window sill before installation.
