DO IT YOURSELF - ELECTRO-GALVANIZING, BLACK PHOSPHATING AND YELLOW PASSIVISATION In this clip I try plating and coating metal in collaboration with www.gdsbutiken.se I want to start by saying that I am very satisfied with all the products from www.gdsbutiken.se The result after the first time is far beyond expectations! Can strongly recommend this product for those who want to start plating their own things at home. Wonderful to have it standing in the chemical cabinet when you need to throw on a nice cover on your newly renovated part or newly manufactured component. Something I would like to see an improvement on are clear and precise instructions, perhaps a small book or similar that comes with the kit that explains exactly how it should be used and what is happening chemically and also procedures to be able to calculate the surface area of the object that shall be plated. In terms of materials, I would have liked to have seen that about 10 pairs of gloves and hydrochloric acid had been included in the kit for electro-galvanizing or it would have been possible to order directly with the kit. -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ------------------ Products used in the video: www.gdsbutiken.se Electric zinc plating starter kit small: https://gdsbutiken.se/produkt/elforzi... But I remember that it was that you weighed an A4 paper and then get a given value for the weight. Then you also know the given area on an A4 paper. Then you place the part to be galvanized on the paper, sketch all sides or wrap the detail in the paper, sketch and cut them out of the paper and weigh them and can then calculate how big the area is on the component by taking the fold of the cut off the paper. ex: A4 paper Weight: 5 grams Area: 623 cm2 Weight of cut-out material from the A4 sheet: 2.5 grams = 311.5 cm2 = Approximately: 0.3 A current Then you can spin further on how long it should last, but I don't have that information about. Feel free to comment in the clip if you have a good answer to this. -------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------- Music: Song: Long Live Written By : Adrian Dominic Walther Performed By: Adrian Walther Produced By: Adrian Walther ------------------------------------ -------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Disclamer: Due to factors beyond the control of BackmansGarage, I cannot guarantee against improper use or unauthorized modifications of this information.
