Today we bring you the Cupra Formentor VZ5, the most powerful version of the Formentor, a model that has been equipped for the occasion with a 2.5-litre, five-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 390 hp of maximum power and up to 480 Nm of torque. The transmission is a seven-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. Its production will be limited to 7,000 units. The Formentor VZ5 is the high-performance version of the CUPRA Formentor, the first model developed exclusively by and for the CUPRA brand, now “independent” from SEAT, but with whom it still shares a multitude of components and its own sales network. This special edition was presented at the beginning of 2021 on the occasion of the firm's third anniversary. This Formentor VZ5, combined with its Audi-sourced 2.5 TSI engine with specific cooling, the DSG dual-clutch automated gearbox, the revised 4Drive all-wheel drive system, the new steering setup and adaptive chassis control (with fifteen adjustment levels), is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and reaching a top speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited).
