Hans and Dennis visited the Bunker Museum in Scheveningen. On the grounds of the 'Surfdorp' lies a heavy bunker completely underground with the German Construction Number 8598. This 'Doppel-Gruppenunterstand' type 622 was intended to house two groups of ten men. These men were involved in the defence of the main resistance line along the boulevard and around the harbour of Scheveningen. In this large bunker (outside dimensions approximately 12 x 12 metres, with 2 metre thick reinforced concrete walls and roof) are two waiting rooms of 20 m2 each. The bunker has two entrances, which give access to these two rooms via a gas lock. With over 1500 units, type 622 is the most built bunker type in the Atlantic Wall. There used to be twelve in The Hague, of which eight remain. The Bunker Museum The Hague is located in this bunker.
