Cristina Palanciuc from the Ștefan Vodă district was, for ten years, a victim of domestic violence. She lived with her husband in her in-laws' house, but the happiness was short-lived. After the birth of her first child, arguments began in the family, marked by violence. While her husband was abroad, her mother-in-law kicked her out of the house. Cristina wanted revenge and set fire to a toy in the marital bedroom. The judges sentenced the woman to ten years in prison.
