About :

Today we will visit Nuevos Ministerios station, a large interchange strategically located under Paseo de la Castellana and the AZCA financial complex. It serves lines 6, 8 and 10 of the Madrid Metro and all the Cercanías lines except for the C-5 and C-9. The station was conceived with the creation of the Recoletos Laughter Tunnel in 1967. It went from being a simple stop to the large station that we all know. The Metro arrived 12 years later, with line 6, a little further from the Cercanías station and lines 8 and 10. In 1982, the Fuencarral - Nuevos Ministerios section was inaugurated as part of the old line 8 that would later become line 10, after its merger with FC Suburbano. Finally, line 8 was inaugurated in 2002 and with it a major renovation that made it suitable for people with reduced disabilities.
